Skateboarding is an extremely enthralling activity and is a great physical workout as well. Your lower body must exert great control over the skateboard in order to keep you on track while your upper body must adjust accordingly to ensure that you don't lose balance as the skateboard catches up speed or goes in the air. The trickery associated with skateboarding is difficult but it's often worth the effort as the payoff when you successfully pull off a 180 or do good air-time is greatly satisfying. One of the difficulties with skateboarding though is that it requires a lot of time. In our busy lives, taking out time for skateboarding is difficult. With a skateboarding game like Skateboard Free though, you can always quickly play a game or two in order to feel some of the thrill provided by real-life skateboarding.

The skateboarding game starts up with a simple selection of the skateboard you want to use. You would need to buy the skateboard to get started. While most of the skateboards are locked, to begin with, you would have the beginner level skateboard available to get started. Afterward, you would select the location where you want to skateboard. The only unlocked option is the playground and you would need to first accumulate enough cash before you can start skateboarding in the more fun locations. Once you are done with choosing your skateboard and the location, you can start with the actual skateboarding activities.

One good aspect of the free skateboarding game is that it provides you with a description of the controls before starting the skateboarding session. The controls are interesting but not easy to understand and it takes a few tries to get an idea of what each option would do and where you need to swipe to perform a certain action. The scoring system isn't explained at all but it's obvious that you would need to do kickflips, 180s, and good airtime in order to score a strong amount of points. There are also cash signs above certain ramps and you need to reach those signs in order to earn a few more points. Each session consists of sixty sessions and you need to do as much trickery as possible during that time period. If your skateboard gets stuck somewhere during the session, you can always restore it to a certain starting position with an inward arrow button at the bottom right of the screen. A pause button is available as well on the gameplay screen which introduces you to the controls description again while the question mark sign repeats the instructions the game passes on during the session.

The skateboarding app is restricted in the sense that there isn't much depth to the gameplay with only three skateboards and three locations available. So, after you have unlocked all locations and skateboards and have had multiple sessions, there isn't much else to do in the free Skateboard game. Lack of extra features and game progression is the skateboarding app's only issue.
